Benchmark

The fourth benchmark

Application in Cybersecurity based on Schneider PLC. This purpose of this testbench is to study and analyze the communication channel (data, protocols, and cryptography). This platform can be used also for cyber-security tests (vulnerabilities and protection). This benchmark is built on a Schneider PLC with some digital and analog inputs/outputs. There are also a CAN interface and a remote Human-machine interface. The Stormshield firewall is also implemented for this benchmark. This allows to test various industrial scenes with industrial protocols and application layer. This platform is also equipped an engine. Therefore, beside of cybersecurity, this testbench can be used to train about engine control and supervision.

The fifth benchmark

Application to Process Emulation based on Siemens PLC. This benchmark enables the possibilities to validate various processes on emulation. To do that, this platform uses a specific emulation process card. This card acts like an interface between PLC inputs/outputs and the simulation program on PC. This card is built on an ST embedded system and a network interface controller (NIC). This NIC allows this card to dialog with other devices in the installation. This board has also several digital and analog inputs/outputs to physically connect with inputs/outputs of PLC and Ethernet port to communicate with simulation software using UDP protocol. There is also a software to remote control of this card. This pedagogical platform will also have a Siemens S7-1500 PLC with digital and analog inputs/outputs, a human-machine interface as well as a Profibus interface. The benchmark can be used to study communication, message exchanges, and network infrastructure. A firewall will be also applied in this network.

The sixth benchmark

Application of Wireless communication. This benchmark will illustrate applications of the Internet of Things in the smart building. This platform is built on a Wago PLC with some physical inputs and outputs. There will be also a Human-Machine Interface with a webserver and some wireless interfaces on the EnOcean network. Then, the communications will be organized by a watchguard firewall.
